Tournament in Nashville...A SUCCESS!!!

God wants me to...

After an exhausting day at a tournament in Nashville, then a quick run to pick up Lexi from Grandpa, we went for a fast bite to eat, then headed back to the house.  On the way, Marty and I informed the kids that it was bedtime when we got home.  Of course, the grumbling immediately started and then the begging began.  With many pleadings to let them watch movies in their beds, the final say was no.  We had church the next morning and we knew if they watched movies it would be a rough start to Sunday morning.  David, being the little genius that he can be says, "...but Mom, God wants me to watch a movie in my bed."


I have to admit, at this point, I almost broke down, since it was such a great defense, but I stuck to my guns and replied with, "David, God is definitely in charge, but he put mommy and daddy in charge of you.  So, you see son, it comes from God, to mommy and daddy and then to you and Lexi.  Therefore, God told me he wants  you to GO TO BED!"

What he doesn't realize is that I can use that for everything now!
